“Our promise is irreversible” – Jigawa governor vows one million votes for Tinubu

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa has promised to deliver more than one million votes to President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.

Governor Namadi spoke with journalists on Saturday after participating in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Kafin Hausa LGA of Jigawa state.

“Our promise to deliver over one million votes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 is irreversible and uncompromising,” he said.

The governor said the turnout recorded during the primary election reflected the level of support Tinubu enjoys in the state.

“As you can see, the people have lined up in masses for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while nobody is on the side of his opponents. This is a testimony to how popular the President is in the minds of the people of Jigawa,” he said.

Namadi also said the conduct of the primary election demonstrated Tinubu’s commitment to democracy and internal party processes.

“If you look at how the exercise is going on, you can believe me that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu embodies democracy,” he said.

The governor added that the outcome of the exercise would send a strong message to opposition parties ahead of the 2027 election.

“The outcome will be enough to signal that the APC is on the path to clear victory at all levels in 2027,” he said.

Namadi commended APC members and residents of the state for what he described as discipline and integrity during the exercise.

He also urged party supporters across Jigawa state to begin preparations for the 2027 general election.
