Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has appelaed to Nigerians to join hands and take action to ensure the country becomes better.

PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that Jonathan made the call on Wednesday in his message to Nigerians on the occassion of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir.

According to him, the country is passing through challenges that require collective prayers and actions to solve.

He urged Nigerians to see diversity as a source of strength, not division.

The former leader expressded hope that Nigeria can be better if the citizens would work together.

On this occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, I extend my warmest greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters across Nigeria and the world.

“This celebration calls us to reflect on the great lessons of faith, obedience, and sacrifice. It reminds us that even in difficult times, absolute trust in God and willingness to put the greater good above ourselves will always lead to a path of blessing and hope.

“Today, our nation is going through challenges that demand our collective prayers and actions, especially for peace and security. We must see our diversity as a source of strength, not division.

“True nation-building requires the same spirit of devotion and duty that this festival stands for .

“As we celebrate, let us stand together with renewed resolve to safeguard our country and guarantee a secure, stable, and prosperous future for all Nigerians.

“May God bless our efforts and protect our Federal Republic,” he wrote.
