Nigerian music star Adekunle Gold has shut down reports of welcoming twins.
Earlier this year, news made rounds that the beloved music power couple, who maintain a low profile, had welcomed twins.
In a recent interview with Great Day Houston, Adekunle stated that they didn’t welcome twins. According to him, it is internet rumours.
The singer revealed that he and his wife welcomed a son.
Kemi Filani reported in December that the power couple, in a video posted on their YouTube page, announced they were expecting their second child. In the clips, Simi was captured showing off her protruding baby bump alongside her husband and their daughter, Deja.
In March, Simi announced that she and her husband had welcomed their second child. Sharing maternity photos of herself and her husband, she expressed gratitude to God for her beautiful family and noted that she is now a mother of 2.
On Simi’s 38th birthday in April, Adekunle described her as his favourite human, his greatest muse, and his home. He said Simi has been his constant source of peace and strength, and that the world is lucky to have her.
He had spoiled his wife with a brand-new Mercedes-Benz and a diamond ring. Simi, via her Instagram page, shared a video of the moment she was gifted the Benz and ring, noting how soft and spoiled she is.
In January, the parents of three celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary. Adekunle noted how seven years ago, he married his best friend, and since then, every year has been gentler than the last. He said that through it all, loving her has been the easiest and most beautiful decision of his life.
Simi stated that Adekunle is still the one, even after seven years have passed, and expressed gratitude for the joy and peace he brings to her life. Calling him the husband of her youth, she affirmed her love for him.
