Nigerian former On Air Personality Toke Makinwa is celebrating her daughter, Yakira, as she turns 9 months old.
Sharing photos of her adorable mini-me, she described her daughter as her answered prayer, noting that she brought a new meaning to the word ‘ease.’
She called Yakira her special gift from God, revealing that her smile lights up the room, her beauty melts hearts, and with each milestone, she sees God’s hands clearly.

A week ago, Toke shared a sweet video of the moment she reunited with her daughter, after weeks of filming a movie in South Africa. She said being away was hard, and she would come home crying and then pull herself together to be present at work. The mother of one praised mothers for being superheroes without capes, noting how they do it all.
Last year, was undoubtedly the best year for the former OAP as she welcomed her first child, a baby girl, named Yakira Eliana at 40.
Speaking on motherhood, she had revealed how it transformed her personality. She noted that, throughout this year, she had been indoors due to her pregnancy, which was unlike her, as she is usually an outdoor person.
Makinwa shared a photo of her mini-me carrying her teddy bear as she lamented that she had just become a mom, yet her daughter was trying to make her a grandma.
On Mother’s Day, Toke shared photos of herself and her daughter, noting that, because of her, she was receiving personalised Mother’s Day messages. Calling her daughter sweet names, Toke said her daughter brought her ease as she makes motherhood easy.
Also, on International Women’s Day, which coincided with her daughter’s 7-month birthday, Toke said she is raising a queen, and it’s her duty to hand her a crown.
The businesswoman responded to a netizen who accused her of being performative for only showing her daughter’s legs, arms, and back. Toke admonished the netizen to do what works for him. She said the long epistle over a child’s identity was bizarre.
Following the birth of her daughter, Toke had shut down reports that her baby daddy is a Muslim. She had responded to a fan who had expressed belief that her daughter’s father is a Muslim because of her name, Yakira, and Toke clarified that her baby daddy is not, and her daughter’s name is a Hebrew name, which means “beloved,” “precious,” and “someone of great worth.
