Itele and Omowunmi Dada appointed as godparents

The godparents of Nollywood couple Lateef Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe have been unveiled.

Kemi Filani reported on Thursday that the couple held a low-key naming ceremony at their residence in Lekki, Lagos. The couple kept things low-key and invited only close friends and family. Spotted at the ceremony were Jide Awobona, Ibrahim Yekini ‘Itele’ and his wife, and Omowunmi Dada.

The names of the triplets are Abdul Ramon Taiwo, Abdul Rahim Kehinde Adetona, and Abdulrokeeb Idowu Adebare.

At the ceremony, Lateef and Bimpe chose Omowunmi Dada as the godmother of their triplets and Ibrahim Yekini as the godfather.

Omowunmi shared the news on her Instagram story, including clips from the naming.

According to reports, the couple will be holding a big party later.

It is no longer news that on Friday the couple had announced the birth of their triplet boys. Lateef shared a video of Bimpe holding their ultrasound, saying that God had given him more than he had prayed for, as his wife is now a mother of three boys.

Since Lateef and Bimpe’s arrival in Nigeria, a lot of their colleagues have been visiting them.

Hours ago, Mercy Aigbe and her husband, Kazim Adeoti, had paid a visit to the newest parents, with gifts for the newborns. Aigbe expressed gratitude to her Maker for the unending blessings, goodness and mercies and congratulated the new parents.

Juliana Olayode had shared photos and videos of meeting the triplets and expressed her excitement. Raining prayers on the triplets, she expressed her happiness and congratulated the new parents.

Jide Awobona shared photos of himself in the nursery with the triplets, congratulating the couple on their bundles of joy.

Adeniyi Johnson had paid a visit to the couple. He shared a photo of himself and Lateef, noting that God had given them double and triple blessings. Adeniyi said the boys are cute like their dad, and Bimpe is sound and ready for another pregnancy.

In other news, Lateef had reacted to a strong warning from a man, who advised him to stop allowing people to carry his babies, as they aren’t museum items to be touched. The actor appreciated his words, letting him know that he had taken his advice.
