Activist and social commentator, Justice Chidiebere, popularly known as JusticeCrack, has alleged that he would have disappeared without a trace but for the intervention of Nigerians who demanded answers over his whereabouts.
He made this known on Tuesday in a post on X, while alleging that officials of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) abducted him while disguising themselves as operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
JusticeCrack was recently picked up by the military but later handed over to the DSS after civil society organisations took up his matter.
According to the DIA, the activist was arrested for sharing viral videos featuring frontline soldiers complaining about inadequate feeding and poor welfare conditions.
He subsequently faced a federal trial in Abuja on charges of cybercrime, felony, and breach of public peace, to which he pleaded not guilty.
Following a brief period of incarceration and legal proceedings, he was eventually released from custody after meeting his ₦5 million bail conditions.
Sharing his experience while in detention in his latest post, JusticeCrack insisted he was subjected to inhumane treatment.

He added that he was blindfolded and handcuffed for three days, kept under the scorching sun during the day, and locked in a freezing cold room at night.
The popular influencer, however, noted that he was limited in what he could disclose publicly because the matter is still before the court.
Speaking via his verified handle, he said: “JusticeCrack has never been cracked and will never be cracked. I was abducted by the DIA, who disguised themselves as DSS officers when they came to arrest me.
“It was only after Nigerians started speaking out and demanding answers that they eventually took me to the DSS. Their intention was to make me disappear, and if Nigerians had not intervened, I might have been gone forever.
“After three days of inhumane treatment, it is important for me to state that I was blindfolded and handcuffed throughout those three days. During the day, I was kept under the scorching sun, and at night, I was locked in a freezing cold room.
“Because this matter is still in court, I am limited in what I can say for now. However, the truth is that it was the DIA that abducted me and took me to the CIC. I only became aware of this after I was transferred to the DSS, where it was revealed to me.
“Justice can never be cracked.”
