Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to take urgent steps to tackle the worsening security situation in Nigeria after the killing of a teacher in Oyo State.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that the actress made this known in a post shared on Instagram on Wednesday, where she spoke about the growing fear among Nigerians over frequent killings, attacks and abductions in different parts of the country.
Kadiri said the insecurity problem has gone beyond politics or public criticism, adding that innocent citizens are losing their lives daily.
She stated that many Nigerians no longer feel safe, even in their own homes, as violent incidents continue to spread across communities.
She also called on the Federal Government to act quickly to protect lives and property, warning that too many innocent people are suffering from crimes they know nothing about.
She wrote: “This is not propaganda! This is not your enemies trying to make you look bad. And even if they were, you can’t leave your house on fire. Dear President Tinubu, pls do something, or give us the go-ahead to protect our lives and properties. Too much death everywhere. Being a Nigerian is not even safe at home anymore. Too many innocent lives are paying for sins they know nothing about. @officialasiwajubat”.
