Nigerian socialite Paschal Okechukwu also known as Chief Priest has reacted to criticisms following his defeat in the APC primary election.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that Chief Priest lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Orsu/Orlu/Oru East federal constituency seat to the incumbent lawmaker, Canice Nwachukwu.
Speaking during a live session with TikToker Peller, the businessman said those insulting him over the loss should understand that the APC is treating him well and working in his favour despite the outcome.
According to him, a party chairman gifted him a brand new car after he lost the election, adding that the vehicle would be delivered to him the following day.
“To the people insulting me, APC is pampering me and the party is working to my favour. One of my chairman bought me a brand new car for losing the election and It will be delivered to me tomorrow”, he said.
In other news, Chief Priest has said that President Bola Tinubu does not fully trust him because he is from the Igbo ethnic group and once worked closely with Peter Obi.
According to him, his background makes some people in Tinubu’s circle see him as someone who could change loyalty in the future.
He also spoke about his decision to leave Peter Obi’s political camp, saying he did so because he did not want to continue experiencing losses in politics.
