Anita Okoye, the ex-wife of Nigerian music star Paul Okoye, has been left overwhelmed by her children’s grand gesture towards her for Mother’s Day
The mother of three, via her Instagram page, revealed that she was humbled in a beautiful way as her son spent a good chunk of his savings on the most thoughtful and intentional gifts, which made her feel incredibly special.
Her other two kids worked tirelessly and secretly to create the sweetest DIY gifts for her, and their handwritten notes melted her heart.
Anita said being their mom is the greatest privilege of her life, and every sacrifice, prayer, and long day is worth it. She added that she doesn’t take their love for granted and appreciates them for making her feel seen, appreciated, and celebrated.

On April 10th, Paul and Anita celebrated their first son as he officially became a teenager.
Anita, in a lengthy post on her Instagram page, expressed her disbelief that she now has a teenager as a son. She expressed how honoured she was to be her son and how he had given her a deeper purpose.
Joining her, Paul described him as his biggest boy and prayed that he would grow strong and with grace.
To celebrate his big birthday, his mother took him on a birthday trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Sharing clips from the trip, Anita said it was one for the books, noting that he likes the ocean, speed, and new experiences.
In February, Paul took his daughter with Anita to a daddy-daughter dance in the US. He had shared a video of them dancing, which left many drooling.
Appreciating him, Anita had shared a video of their sweet moment, recalling how heartbroken Nadia was when he didn’t show up last year. She expressed gratitude to God for the memories, reminding them that when they put their children first and lead with love, God honours it in ways they can’t orchestrate.
Recall that Anita filed for divorce in 2023, on the grounds of cheating, separation, being an absentee father, fraud, and difficult experiences.
A year after her she filed for divorce, an Abuja High Court sitting in Maitama granted Anita and Paul Okoye a divorce. Anita, no doubt emerged victorious, as she requested a monthly settlement of $20,000 and a number of her husband’s mansions.
In 2023, the famous singer reunited with his ex-wife, Anita Okoye, at his concert in Detroit with his twin brother, Peter Okoye. Paul had taken his kids to his concert rehearsal alongside his ex-wife. However, the couple maintained social distance as they didn’t interact in the video.
