Nigerian skitmaker Carter Efe has recounted how music star Davido changed his life, as he battles with his rival, Wizkid’s fans.
Kemi Filani reported that, following his victory over Portable, Carter said he wants to fight Wizkid and have his son, Boluwatife, present.
His desire sent shockwaves through social media and left Wizkid’s fans in shambles.
During a live session, Carter recalled how he was heavily promoting WizKid in 2023/2024 whenever WizKid released music, but WizKid didn’t reciprocate the feelings. He noted that he carried the Grammy-winning singer on his head and even wrote a hit song for him, yet he didn’t acknowledge him.
Carter said Davido loves him and he is the one he now wants to be with. He said the singer held his head and told him he loves him.
Recall that on Friday last week, Carter had defeated Portable in a celebrity boxing match. The skitmaker emerged as the new celebrity Boxing champion in Lagos, Nigeria, and received N50 million from businessman E-Money, along with other perks, including a German visa.
After his victorious win, the singer had partied with Davido and his crew at a club to vibe. In one clip, Davido was seen hugging Carter, and in another, Carter flaunted his champion belt for all to see, leaving Davido laughing.
Following his loss, Portable, in a series of rants, said there was foul play, claiming that Carter was using his long hands to hold his neck. He demanded that the organisers give him N200 million as compensation, as his wife was in the labour room while he was fighting.
In a leaked audio with his boss, he pleaded with him to partake in another celebrity boxing match in October. He stated that he had admitted defeat over Carter and wants to give the glory to someone else.
Still dealing with his loss, Portable pointed out the irony of how people don’t show up to his concerts, yet would pay to see his downfall. He noted how he lost to Carter, yet he is still trending.
The boxing match between the duo left social media buzzing for days.
