The Plateau Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has inaugurated two new units in the state.
Mr Adeleja Ogungbemi, the Sector Commander, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Wednesday in Jos.
Ogungbemi said the new units were located in Mangu and Wase local government areas (LGAs) of the state.
The commander explained that the move was to ensure safer highways and curb road crashes in the state.
“As part of our achievements, we have set up units in Mangu and Wase LGAs to aid road safety. These new units will soon be operational.
” We have also put a platform in place to inform road users on happenings on the road and how to guide their actions while plying the road.”
Ogungbemi further urged members of the public, particularly motorists, to always obey traffic rules and regulations and to take the FRSC personnel as friends and not enemies. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
