FFS saves N1.7bn property in April

The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Kano State Command, says it has saved property worth N1.7billion from 15 fire incidents recorded in the month of  April.

The State Controller,  Mr Kazeem Sholadoye, disclosed this in a statement signed by the service’s Public Relations Officer, Al-Hassan Kantin, on Wednesday in Kano.

He said no lives were lost while property worth N3 million were destroyed by the fire during the period.

According to the statement, there were no false alarms and emergency calls from residents of the state.

He advised the general public to adopt proper fire safety measures and handle fire-related activities responsibly in order to reduce occurrence of fire disasters across the state.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
