Staff of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Internal Revenue Service have staged a mass protest over alleged poor working condition.

The aggrieved workers marched to the FCT Administration complex on Wednesday with placards and banners containing their demands.

As captured in a video shared on X, the workers, on a large banner, highlighted their demands which include salary review, promotion, and prioritisation of staff welfare.

Other inscriptions on the protesters’ placards read “No to Master-Slave Relationship”, “No Salary Review Police Has Ever Affected Us Since 2021”, “5 Years of Stagnation is Wickedness”, and “Rescue FCT-IRS. Structure It”.

The protesters also called for an end to the alleged abuse of secondment policy.

The demonstration has again raised eyebrow over the FCTA workers’ welfare management under the leadership of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

NPO Reported several protests by the FCTA workers in 2025 with some also recorded earlier this year.
