Fans celebrate Afrobeats star Omah Lay at 29

Abuja, May 19, 2026 (NAN) Fans of Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Stanley Omah, popularly known as Omah Lay, have celebrated him with goodwill messages as he turned 29.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that fans on Tuesday flooded social media platforms with birthday wishes and glowing tributes to celebrate the singer’s new age.

The celebration began with a post on the artiste’s fan page  on  X , (formerly Twitter) @omahlaynews, with the caption;“World Omah Lay Day.Happy birthday to the Greatest”.

The ace singer also shared his photo on X , and   wrote, “Happy 29th birthday to me. Which song made you a fan? ”.

In a swift reaction to the post, fans and admirers of the artist continued to celebrate him with prayers and best wishes on the milestone.

@Joshua Olivia posted, “Happy birthday Omah more grace and peace of mind to you always. Big omah lay”.

NAN reports that Omah Lay was born on May 19, 1997, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

He rose to fame in the Nigerian music industry in 2020 after the release of his debut   EP, “Get Layd”, which contained hit songs, including “Bad Influence” and “Lo Lo”.

He further gained international recognition with successful projects such as “What Have We Done” and his debut studio album “Boy Alone”.

The artiste won the Next Rated artist award at the 2020/2021 Headies Awards and earned his first Grammy nomination  for Best African Music Performance for “With You”  at the 2026  edition  alongside Davido (NAN)
