The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace and tolerance as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-kabir.
Matawalle, in a goodwill message, said the festival symbolised sacrifice, patience and devotion to God, urging citizens to uphold these values for national progress.
He assured Nigerians of his continued commitment, alongside the Armed Forces and other security agencies, to protecting the country’s territorial integrity.
The minister said the efforts aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He commended the courage and dedication of troops deployed across various theatres of operation, noting their sacrifices in defence of the nation.
