Mr Stephen Ogundipe, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.
Ogundipe, who is also the spokesperson for the Lagos Assembly and represents Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I, gave the congratulatory message while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Sunday.
NAN reports that Tinubu clinched the party’s presidential ticket for the 2027 election after recording a landslide victory in the party’s presidential primary held across Nigeria on Saturday.
He said: “I heartily congratulate our indefatigable leader, President Bola Tinubu, on his well-deserved re-emergence and affirmation as the flag bearer of our great party for the 2027 general election.
“Your courageous leadership, visionary governance and unwavering commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda continue to reposition Nigeria on the path of sustainable growth, economic recovery, institutional reforms and national development.
“The bold and strategic steps being taken under your administration are already yielding positive results and laying a solid foundation for a brighter and more secure future for generations yet unborn.”
Ogundipe, who recently emerged as the APC candidate for Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I, said Tinubu’s exemplary political mentorship, resilience and dedication to nation-building remained a source of inspiration to many of them in public service.
The lawmaker appreciated the privilege and opportunity of working with the president over the years, noting that the experience had greatly shaped and propelled his political growth and leadership journey.
Ogundipe said that as the president continued to lead the nation with wisdom, courage and determination, he prayed that Almighty God would grant him more strength and sound health to successfully deliver on his mandate and lead the party to greater victories in 2027.(NAN)
