GOV. Abba Yusuf of Kano State, has on Saturday, said re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027 will translate to more dividend of democracy to Nigerians.
The New Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Yusuf spoke while addressing delegates during the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential primaries at his Diso ward in Gwale Local Government Area of the state.
Yusuf said if reelected, Nigeria and Kano will reap the dividends of democracy in various sectors.
He said the state and his Gwale Local Government and others in Kano are 100 per cent with Tinubu and have resolved to throw their weight behind his candidature for the general elections.
According to him, Tinubu is tested and trusted and so deserves a second term.
“I want you to know that when elected, President Tinubu will double all the dividends of democracy. And inshallah Kano State is going to reap that dividend.”
Presiding over the primaries, the Chairman of the Presidential primaries committee for Diso ward, Ibrahim Muhammad-Abdullahi, said the committee conducted the exercise through direct primaries.
He declared President Bola Tinubu winner with 5,277 votes.
Meanwhile, during the exercise, Governor Yusuf served as agent of President Tinubu. (NAN)
