THE Speaker of the Edo House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary as a critical step toward consolidating the party’s position ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Saturday in Benin by his Chief of Staff, Ivy Adodo-Ebojele, the Speaker made the remarks while mobilising supporters for the primary at Uhonmora-Ora Ward 2 in Owan West Local Government Area.
Agbebaku expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu would secure the party’s ticket.
The Speaker noted that the large turnout of party members reflected strong grassroots support and a commitment to a smooth and decisive primary process.
He urged members to remain united and participate actively to strengthen internal cohesion within the party.
Agbebaku added that Tinubu’s leadership and reforms provide a solid basis for presenting him as the party’s flag-bearer, calling on members to support his candidacy for continuity in policy direction and national development(NAN)
