The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has carried out a major reshuffle, moving 162 senior officers to new roles across the country.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that the decision was approved by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, as part of efforts to strengthen leadership and management in various formations.
Deputy Corps Commander Osondu Ohaeri has been named the new Public Education Officer and spokesperson for the Corps. Several zonal commanders have also been redeployed.
ACM C. Z. Mathew will lead RS5HQ in Benin, ACM A. L. O. Ruk is assigned to RS9HQ in Enugu, ACM B. S. Akande will head RS10HQ in Sokoto, and ACM Leye Adegboyega will take charge of RS12HQ in Bauchi.
The reshuffle extends to Sector Commanders who are now positioned in states including the Federal Capital Territory, Rivers, Kaduna, Bauchi, Imo, Benue, Yobe, Ogun, Delta, Osun, Kogi, Bayelsa, and Akwa Ibom.
Notable appointments include AP Longkam in Kaduna, O Ogunjobi in Ogun, VA Kayode-Oni in Benue, PE Bedford in Edo, CE Edem in Delta, FA Ajatta in Rivers, FM Kalu Mnipr in Akwa Ibom, SO Ordu in Bayelsa, and T. Iliyasu in the FCT.
Others include KB Kazeem in Kwara, LL Fagge in Kogi, ON Okoro in Imo, ST Adebayo in Osun, SD Kehinde in Oyo, I Baba in Yobe, and CS Luka in Bauchi.
The Corps Marshal called on the officers to approach their new roles with energy, professionalism, and careful planning.
He also reaffirmed the Corps’ strict stance against traffic offenses and preventable accidents on Nigerian roads.
