Taylor Frankie Paul Off the Hook in Domestic Violence Case!

Taylor Frankie Paul

Taylor Frankie Paul will not face criminal charges in Utah following an investigation into domestic violence allegations involving her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.

The Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office announced that it declined to prosecute Paul because investigators did not find enough evidence to support criminal charges.

“The remaining incidents lack sufficient evidence to support filing criminal charges where the state must be able to prove such allegations beyond a reasonable doubt,” the office said in a statement. “Such incidents lack specificity as to when and what actually occurred or corroboration.”

According to prosecutors, some of the alleged misdemeanor incidents were too old to pursue because they fell outside the statute of limitations. Other claims were either not considered criminal or lacked enough evidence. The reality star had been under investigation over allegations made by Mortensen, where the two have both accused each other of domestic violence in recent months and have each filed temporary protective orders.

The district attorney’s office said it reviewed evidence submitted by both the Draper and West Jordan police departments.

After learning she would not be charged, Paul reacted on Instagram.

“Cried when I got the call,” she wrote. “THANK YOU to those that have stood with me.”

Paul and Mortensen’s turbulent relationship has played out publicly on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which premiered in 2024. Production on the reality series was reportedly paused amid the investigations, and Mortensen is expected to be edited out of the upcoming season of Vanderpump Villa.
