Nigerian singer Paul Okoye has joined his estranged wife, Anita Okoye, in celebrating their son, Andre, as he officially turns 13.
Hours ago, Anita, in a lengthy post on her Instagram page, expressed her disbelief that she now has a teenager as a son. She expressed how honoured she is to have him as his mother and how he has given her a deeper purpose.
Anita said watching him grow into the strong, kind, intelligent, and determined young man he is becoming fills her heart with so much pride.

Happy 13th birthday to my incredible son, Andre.
Thirteen years ago, God chose me to be your mother, and that will forever be my greatest honour. You made me a mom, and from that very moment, my life found a deeper purpose. Watching you grow into the strong, kind, intelligent, and determined young man you are becoming fills my heart with so much pride.
Andre, you are not just growing older… You are growing into greatness. Your strength, your spirit, your resilience… it inspires me daily. You have a quiet power about you, and I know without a doubt that you are destined for something truly extraordinary.
As you step into your teenage years, I pray that this new chapter is filled with favour, wisdom, confidence, and divine protection. May you walk boldly in who God has called you to be. May you never shrink, never doubt your worth, and never forget how deeply you are loved.

Joining her, Paul, via his Instagram page, described him as his biggest boy and prayed for him to grow with strength and grace. Affirming his love for him, Paul wrote,

In February, Paul took his daughter with Anita to a daddy-daughter dance in the US. He had shared a video of them dancing, which left many drooling.
In a surprising post, Anita had shared a video of their sweet moment, appreciating him for showing up for their daughter. She recalled how heartbroken Nadia was when he didn’t show up last year, and expressed gratitude to God for the memories, reminding them that when they put their children first and lead with love, God honours it in ways they can’t orchestrate.
Recall that Anita filed for divorce in 2023, on the grounds of cheating, separation, being an absentee father, fraud, and difficult experiences.
A year after her she filed for divorce, an Abuja High Court sitting in Maitama granted Anita and Paul Okoye a divorce. Anita, no doubt emerged victorious, as she requested a monthly settlement of $20,000 and a number of her husband’s mansions.
