Former Chairman of the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda (RHA), Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, has expressed deep appreciation to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the opportunity to serve in his administration, describing his tenure as both impactful and fulfilling.

In a statement personally signed by him, Olabimtan also reaffirmed his loyalty and continued commitment to the government and people of Ondo State, even as his assignment at SUBEB comes to an end.

He attributed his accomplishments in office to divine grace, noting that his journey in public service was guided by God’s favour and mercy.

“I thank God Almighty for His grace, favour and mercy upon my life. I am nothing but a pencil in His hands, and I am grateful for everything. May His name be forever praised,” he said.

Olabimtan commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for providing an enabling environment that allowed him and his team to perform effectively, particularly in the education sector.

“I sincerely thank my dear Governor and Leader, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for the opportunity given me to contribute my quota to the development of the education sector of Ondo State. I most sincerely appreciate the support, free hand and listening ear he accorded me throughout my stewardship,” he stated.

Highlighting achievements recorded during his tenure, Olabimtan noted that the board made significant strides in repositioning primary education in the state, including the recruitment of 1,200 teaching staff to strengthen the workforce.

“My board and I recorded multiple breakthroughs and made great impact in the development of primary education in Ondo State because of the enabling working environment the governor provided.

One of such successes was the recruitment of 1,200 teachers to reposition the sector,” he added.

While declaring that his assignment at SUBEB had ended, Olabimtan pledged unwavering support for the Aiyedatiwa administration and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“My job is done at SUBEB, but my unflinching commitment to the overall well-being of the people of Ondo State, and the APC, remains resolute,” he said.

He also appreciated members of the board as well as teaching and non-teaching staff for their cooperation and dedication, which he said contributed to the successes recorded during his tenure.

Olabimtan further extended gratitude to individuals who supported him throughout his service, noting that their contributions were instrumental to his achievements.

“Finally, to everyone who crossed paths with me while serving as SUBEB chairman, I thank and appreciate you all,” he concluded.
