The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has sustained its counter-terrorism momentum with precision follow-up air strikes targeting terrorist elements in the Jilli axis of Borno State.
The operation, conducted on April 11, 2026, by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, was part of a coordinated air-ground mission with the Nigerian Army aimed at eliminating fleeing insurgents and dismantling regrouping cells.
According to the Director of Public Relations and Information, Ehimen Ejodame, the strikes were executed based on credible intelligence and validated through appropriate operational channels.
He stated that the mission followed an earlier successful engagement that decimated terrorist positions, adding that the follow-up action was necessary to consolidate gains and prevent resurgence.
“This successful action highlights the growing effectiveness of intelligence-driven joint operations in denying terrorists freedom of movement,” he said.
Ejodame emphasised that the Nigerian Air Force remains committed to sustained surveillance, precision interdiction, and rapid response in support of national security objectives.
He also reassured citizens of the Armed Forces’ determination to restore lasting peace and stability across the North-East.
