Nollywood actor Afeez Owo has kept to his yearly birthday ritual of giving his wife a gift.
Kemi Filani reported on April 12th that Mide had turned a new age. To celebrate her birthday, her husband gifted her bundles of cash.
Mide, via her Instagram page, shared a video of the moment he surprised her with it, as she revealed that she had been anxiously waiting for it and had already lost hope.
“This is the moment I have been waiting for. Since yesterday, I have been waiting for this envelope. I have already lost hope that this year will be different.
The moment I have been waiting for is here again.
My husband has done it again!
Oble!! Oble!!!Oble!!!!”.
On his birthday on April 13th, Mide reciprocated the love, describing Afeez as her peace of mind as she affirmed her undying love for him.
On April 12, Mide has celebrated her birthday and Afeez, had committed her to God’s hands. He called her his love and own, and told God to bless his wife with long life, divine protection and overflowing happiness.
Mide Martins, on her part, kept her birthday message short and simple. Wishing herself a happy birthday, she expressed gratitude to her Maker.
On Mide’s birthday in 2024, Afeez Mide had surprised her with gifts, including cake, an expensive drink, and money, which left her in tears. Sharing the video, Mide disclosed that her husband gave her the best birthday gift and expressed her appreciation, letting him know she loves him.
A while back, Martins had revealed how she collects money from her husband. The wife of the filmmaker, who is fond of money, had shared a video of her feeding her husband; revealing that she decided to feed him well and bribe him with a kiss so he could give her more money.
In a recent interview, Afeez spoke about his 22-year marriage to Mide, revealing their pet names for each other. The comic actor revealed that their marriage isn’t the kind where the husband has to be strict, or the wife has to remain calm. He appreciated his wife and thanked her for tolerating him.
In a previous interview, Afeez addressed the 2016 separation rumours involving Mide, revealing that it was the only serious fight they had ever had in their marriage; luckily, they reconciled. Afeez admitted that he didn’t handle things well and scattered things. He noted that social media made it worse because it was something they could have resolved privately. Fortunately, they overcame it.
The couple got married in 2005 and has two children.
Recall that in 2016, Mide had publicly called out Afeez for moving out of their house and abandoning her and the kids.
Refuting the claims, in an interview, Afeez said Mide took the wrong advice from friends who wanted to cause havoc in their home.
In December, while receiving the Best Actress of the Year award from OAFP, Mide knelt as she appreciated Afeez Owo for his constant support. She appreciated, as she noted how without him, there is no her. She thanked him for being there for her since she lost her mother.
Last year, at a movie location, Mide had showered prayers on Afeez. Raining prayers on him, she wished him success in life and prayed for him to keep soaring higher and for him to never crumble.
