Lil Tjay is shutting down rumors tying him to the shooting that left Offset hospitalized in Florida.

After social media posts claimed Lil Tjay was involved in the incident outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on April 6, the rapper’s attorney issued a statement denying the reports.

“We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood which resulting in non-life threatening injuries to Offset,” attorney Dawn Florio said.

“Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting,” the statement continued. “Any reporting to the contrary is false.”

Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital after the shooting and is said to be in stable condition. Police confirmed that one person was transported with non-life-threatening injuries. Offset’s team confirmed that the rapper is “being closely monitored” and that he is in “stable condition.”

The confusion appeared to begin after a video of the aftermath surfaced online and quickly spread across social media.

Lil Tjay rose to fame with songs like “Calling My Phone” and “F.N.” The rapper survived a 2022 shooting in New Jersey and later returned to music after a lengthy recovery.
