The Danish FA have been warned to secure William Osula’s International allegiance after the Nigerian Football Federation put their interests in the striker forward, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 22-year-old Newcastle United forward was born to a Danish mother and a Nigerian-French Father, but already holds a Danish and English passport.
As reported earlier, the former Sheffield United striker has been approached by the Nigerian Football Association over a potential switch.
While he’s represented Denmark at the youth level, a senior appearance eludes him, and that keeps the door to the Super Eagles open.

Ex-Denmark striker warns against losing Osula to Nigeria
Former Denmark and Mainz 05 stiker Emil Berggreen, upon the knowledge of the Super Eagles’ interest, urged the DBU to cap-tie William Osula.
“I’m sure Brian Riemer [Headcoach of the Denmark National football team] is handling the situation, because we must not lose William Osula,” the 32-year-old said in quotes revealed by BT Denmark.
“So, Riemer is aware of the importance of a young forward.
“If the call reveals that there are doubts in Osula’s mind, then Riemer will go to fish and chips in North East England.
“It’s obviously about emphasizing how bright Denmark’s and Osula’s future looks if he pulls the red shirt and not the green shirt over his head,” Berggreen concluded.
The former Sheffield United striker, on his end, has no problem letting out his Nigerian side once in a while, largely by speaking pidgin and making Nigerian dishes.
