Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has thrown shade at her haters following her new achievement.
The movie star, who premiered her much-talked-about movie, The Return of Arinzo, two weeks ago on her Instagram page, announced that it has grossed N224 million at the cinema and is now the number one film for 2 consecutive weekends.
Taking to her Instagram page to share photos from her look at Ita Giwa’s 80th birthday, Iyabo asserted that if God is for one, no man can be against them, no matter how hard they try.
Ojo expressed gratitude to Nigeria and West Africa for their support.
“My look at @therealitagiwa’s 80th birthday dinner last night, keep ageing gracefully, mama, love you.
If God is for you, no man can be against you, no matter how hard they try. Thank you, Nigeria, thank you, West Africa.
The return of Arinzo is still showing in a cinema near you.

Kemi Filani reported that at Iyabo Ojo’s movie premiere, Funke Akindele had snubbed Toyin Abraham’s greetings. In a viral clip, Funke was captured sitting with Iyabo and Mercy Aigbe when Toyin walked to greet her and she ignored her.
Speaking up, Iyabo addressed those calling her unprintable names over the issue, letting them know that she had cried for their reconciliation in the past and that they had listened to her, but only on one condition. Iyabo revealed the cause of their recent beef, making it clear that she can’t beg anyone anymore, doesn’t want to get involved, and that people should respect that.
Defending her mother, Priscilla Ojo noted that since her mother announced her movie, there had been back-to-back controversies. She pointed out how there is a pattern aimed at ruining Iyabo’s plans, but God is stronger than man. The influencer noted that when her mother is quiet, they twist the story; when she speaks, they get angry about the truth and still twist it.
A week before her movie premiere, Iyabo had set the record straight on the issue with one of her biggest fans, Motun, who was accused of scamming her gullible fans. She distanced herself from Motun, making it clear that she didn’t assign her a lead role and issued a stern warning to Motun.
A while back, Iyabo had reacted to accusations that she gave one of her goddaughters, Fola Tinubu Kayamata. She noted that she wasn’t using Kayamata, so she can’t recommend it to anyone. The movie star further clarified her relationship with Tinubu, stating that Tinubu was just her goddaughter, whom she helped with her business and legal battles.
Earlier this year, the actress had disappointed many when she shared a promotional video showcasing upgrades at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos. Ojo praised FAAN while showcasing the terminal’s major upgrades, and described the changes as a positive transformation.
Defending herself, the movie star revealed she wasn’t paid to praise them. She noted how they approached her to help spread the changes to the world, and she agreed without any fee or contract. Iyabo said her gesture was done out of love for Nigeria, saying she was unapologetic about it and will continue to use her craft to promote her country.
