The Prayer and Support for the Nigerian Armed Forces and Other Security Agencies (PSNAFSA) has condemned the killing of Brigadier General Oseni Braimah and other soldiers in an attack on a military base in Damboa, Borno State.
In a statement signed by its Convener, Mary Abayomi-Family, the group described the attack as “heinous and cowardly.”
It said, “This heinous and cowardly act is a stark indication of the grave dangers our servicemen and women confront daily in defence of Nigeria’s sovereignty.”
PSNAFSA expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
“We share in their grief and pray that Almighty God grants them the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss,” it said.
The group also paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, describing them as patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice.
It noted that although the military has recorded successes against insurgents, continued attacks show the need for renewed action.
“PSNAFSA calls for a resolute national will to end these unwarranted killings of military personnel… The time to act decisively is now,” the statement added.
The group urged the Federal Government to identify and prosecute sponsors of terrorism and block the flow of arms into the country.
It also called on Nigerians to support security agencies through vigilance and intelligence sharing.
