DJ Tunez Speaks On Clash With Burna Boy, Alleges Assault

Nigerian disc jockey, Michael Babatunde Adeyinka, popularly known as DJ Tunez, has opened up about his recent altercation with Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy, describing it as a physical confrontation.

A video of the clash, showing the two entertainers in a scuffle, recently went viral on social media, sparking widespread reactions among fans.

Reacting to the incident on his social media handle on 𝕏 (formerly Twitter), DJ Tunez claimed he was attacked by multiple people during the confrontation.

According to him, Burna Boy struck him from behind before the situation escalated.

“This N*gga Burna Boy, all signs of weakness. First off, you hit me in the back of my head without me looking, that’s some sucka sht, my boy,” he wrote.

He further alleged that he defended himself despite being outnumbered.

“1 vs 10, and I stood my ground. That’s why you collected as well, when I defended myself,” he added.

Following the incident, the Nigerian DJ Association issued a statement on its Instagram platform urging disc jockeys across the country to maintain professionalism and tolerance within the entertainment industry.

The association also announced a temporary ban on Burna Boy’s music among its members pending an investigation into the incident.

It called on DJs nationwide to remain respectful towards artists at events.

“Respect among DJs is essential,” the organisation stated.

As of the time of filing this report, Burna Boy’s management team had not issued an official response regarding the incident.
