A federal high court in Ikoyi, Lagos, has issued an order restraining directors of Retail Supermarkets Nigeria limited (ShopRite) from disposing of shares or assets over an outstanding judgment debt.
Justice Ambrose Lewis-Allagoa granted the interim order following an ex-parte application filed on November 21, 2025, in enforcement of a consent judgment delivered on July 22, 2025.
The court also authorised garnishee orders nisi against funds belonging to the company in several banks.
Tobenna Nnamani, counsel to the judgment creditor further requested full disclosure of the company’s assets, including its Ajao, Lagos distribution centre and related trademarks.
The case has been adjourned to May 7, 2026, for further hearing.
