Tom Brady is facing some backlash over his recent comments about WWE wrestlers during a recent appearance.
While speaking at a Fanatics event, the former NFL quarterback joked that professional wrestlers would struggle to take him down on the field. “They wouldn’t even get near me,” Brady said, adding that with proper protection, “they’d probably be crying.”
The remarks quickly caught the attention of several WWE personalities, who did not hold back in their responses.

Charlotte Flair, the daughter of legendary wrestler, Ric Flair, fired back online, writing, “A lot of words to say ‘if I had five guys to protect me, I might be ok.’” Others joined in, including the twins, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella, who playfully challenged Brady.
The retired star, who stepped away from football in 2023 after first announcing his resignation the year priot.
“I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first,” Brady said in a video on X. “I won’t be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year, so really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me.”
