Social media users are reacting to the tension between Nollywood actresses Mercy and Funke Akindele.
At Iyabo Ojo’s movie premiere on Sunday night, the two, who are cast in the movie, were captured on stage together, celebrating the success of the premiere.
In the clip, Mercy, who stood between Iyabo and Funke, was seen giving the actress a snaky remark, as Femi Adebayo came to greet them.

On Mercy’s 44th birthday, Funke made her shed tears of Joy over her surprise public display of affection for her. Akindele, who at the time wasn’t big on celebrating her female colleagues, especially in the Yoruba movie industry, interestingly released a video featuring photos of Aigbe, accompanied by a beautiful voice note in which she prayed for Mercy and also declared how much she loves her. The thoughtful act had the birthday celebrant in tears.
When Aigbe ranted about Instagram, telling the app not to add to her annoyance, Funke showed her love.
In 2021, Funke supported Mercy Aigbe during a subtle fight with Iyabo Ojo. Pitching her tent at Mercy, the Omo Ghetto movie producer threw the former a shout on Instagram.
