President Bola Tinubu on Friday returned to Nigeria from his two-day state visit to the United Kingdom after leaving the country on Tuesday.

He landed in Lagos alongside his wife, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, who accompanied her to the UK to meet with the British monarch, King Charles III, and the Prime Minister, Mr Keir Starmer.

In the early hours of today, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, had disclosed that his boss would be in Lagos for the celebration of the end of Ramadan.

“President Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu depart London for Nigeria. President Tinubu and his wife are heading to Lagos for the Eid-el-Fitr celebration,” he revealed.

Business Post gathered that Mr Tinubu is already in Lagos with his wife, as his aircraft landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos, a few minutes past 1 am, and was received by some government and All Progressives Congress (APC) officials.

The federal government declared Thursday and Friday as public holidays to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

All things being equal, President Tinubu should return to the nation’s seat of power, Abuja, next week.
