Shyne has responded to Ray J’s recent threats over Brandy, after the “One Wish” singer took offense to several rappers recalling the time they all dated her.
The discussion aired on the It Is What It Is podcast, where Cam’ron, Ma$e and Shyne reflected on memories from the late 1990s, including past connections to the singer.

Ray J responded soon after, making it clear he took issue with how Brandy was being discussed. “Keep my sister’s name out of your mouth,” he said in a video that quickly made the rounds online. “One thing you’re not gonna do is talk about my sister and think I’m not gonna respond.”

“Shyne, Mase, and Cam… I never had a problem with them,” Ray J went on. “But I saw some shit today where they gotta know that a n—a gonna come back strong… because a n—a is not gonna let a n—a say anything and laugh and giggle and joke about a n—a’s sister without me going big.”
After Ray J’s response went viral, Shyne later addressed him directly. “Let the record reflect I did not ‘hit it first,’” he wrote. “Most respectfully.”
Neither Cam’ron nor Ma$e has issued a detailed response. Brandy has also chose to remain silent.
