Instead of backing down or offering an apology to the R&B legend, Shyne is officially doubling down. He just hit social media and basically called Brandy a flat-out liar, claiming that her version of history is the one that’s “unequivocally” false!
“No Lies Told”: Shyne Refuses To Recant!
Responding to Brandy’s recent Instagram post—where she claimed they never dated—Shyne didn’t hold back. In a move that has the internet calling him “messy” for a man of his age, he suggested that Brandy has a history of “hiding the truth” from the public.
“I’m not sure why she’s acting like this is news,” Shyne allegedly posted before deleting. “No lies were told on that podcast. People know the truth, and trying to rewrite it now for a book is crazy. She’s lied to the public before, and she’s doing it again!”
Shyne is referring to the “It Is What It Is” interview where he and Mase laughed about their overlapping time with the singer. While Mase has stayed relatively quiet since the backlash, Shyne seems ready to go to war over his “receipts.”

During the initial podcast, Shyne even compared himself to Kobe Bryant, noting that everyone knew Brandy and Kobe were “special friends” at the time, but that he was also in the mix. By doubling down now, he’s essentially telling the world that Brandy’s upcoming memoir, PHASES, is going to be a work of fiction.
The streets are buzzing that Shyne might even have “old photos or letters” from the 90s that he’s threatening to release if Brandy continues to call him a liar.
