In footage obtained by TMZ, the actor appeared wearing only boxer briefs while asking for help lighting a cigarette. “C’mon, bro … give me a match,” he said to someone nearby as the incident played out.
The shocking sighting comes weeks after LaBeouf was arrested in New Orleans during Mardi Gras celebrations. Authorities previously said the incident involved a physical altercation, and he was later charged with simple battery.
Following the arrest, LaBeouf appeared in court, where he was ordered to post bond and participate in a treatment program. He was also granted permission to travel abroad for a limited time.
The trip to Italy was connected to a personal family milestone, as LaBeouf traveled to attend his father’s baptism.
LaBeouf has spoken in the past about working through personal challenges, acknowledging that he has made mistakes.
