Royce Reed is speaking out after new allegations involving Dwight Howard surfaced online through claims made by his wife, Amy Luciani.
Luciani recently shared emotional videos accusing the former NBA star of struggling with cocaine addiction and suggested the situation had become serious enough to involve Child Protective Services. Howard has not publicly responded to the accusations.
Reed, who shares a 17-year-old son, Braylon, with Howard, addressed the situation on social media soon after the videos began circulating. The former Basketball Wives star said the developments reflect concerns she has raised for years.
“It’s always been about the kids,” Reed said in a video. “Always.”
Reed also responded directly to Luciani, recalling times when she said people questioned her past statements about Howard.

“Now you want to speak because he brought you into it,” she said. “You called me crazy. You said I was jealous. It’s always been about the kids.”
Despite her frustration, Reed said the situation is not something she views as a victory.
“Who’s laughing? This is sad,” she wrote online.
Reed said her main concern continues to be the well-being of the children involved. “No one is laughing,” she added. “This is about children.”
Howard, an eight-time NBA All-Star, shares five children from previous relationships.
