Mia Thornton is facing another legal issue as a lawsuit alleges she owes unpaid rent at a luxury apartment.
According to court documents filed March 18, the former Real Housewives of Potomac star allegedly owes $2,859 for March, along with additional fees, bringing the total to nearly $3,500.
The filing comes months after Mia was arrested on felony theft charges tied to claims she took more than $11,000 worth of items from a rental property. She was “taken into custody without incident,” according to a police report.
Body camera footage from the arrest captured Mia acknowledging the situation. She said she was aware “there was a warrant out for her arrest.”
Following the earlier case, Mia addressed the incident on social media. “This new year is about rebuilding, refining and rising with purpose,” she wrote. “I’m committed to moving forward with integrity and grace.”
She later added, “Challenges don’t define me — how I rebuild does.”
Since exiting the show, Mia moved to Atlanta, GA, and has been seen getting cozy with R&B singer Bobby Valentino.
