Quavo is facing a major tax issue after federal authorities say the rapper owes millions in unpaid taxes.
According to documents filed earlier this year, the Internal Revenue Service placed a federal tax lien against the Migos star, whose legal name is Quavois Marshall. The filing claims the rapper failed to pay taxes across three separate years.
The IRS alleges Quavo owes $915,660 for 2021, $887,486 for 2022, and $1,109,497.79 for 2023. The total amount listed on the lien is $2,912,644.33.
A federal tax lien is typically issued when the government claims someone has failed to pay a tax debt after repeated notices. It gives the IRS a legal claim against property or assets until the balance is resolved.
Quavo has not publicly commented on the filing.
The development comes months after another member of Migos dealt with his own tax situation. Offset previously faced a seven-figure debt to the IRS related to unpaid taxes.
In December 2025, federal records showed that Offset resolved the issue after paying the outstanding amount. The IRS then released the lien, which listed a balance of $1,575,266.73 tied to his 2022 taxes.
Quavo rose to fame as one-third of the Atlanta rap group Migos and has since continued his career as a solo artist.
