Maino is addressing rumors surrounding his podcast studio after 50 Cent claimed he and his co-hosts were behind on rent.
During a recent appearance on Way Up With Angela Yee, the rapper spoke about allegations that the team behind the Let’s Rap About It podcast had been evicted from their space. According to Maino, the claims circulating online are completely false.
“Everything you saw, all that was cap,” he said. “It was all cap because Jim Jones has a five-year lease.”
Maino explained that Jones is still actively working out of the studio and insisted the space has not been taken away from them.
“He’s completely still building in there every day,” he said.
The rumors gained traction after 50 Cent shared security footage on Instagram that appeared to show Jones attempting to force open the studio door. Maino said the situation involved a landlord changing the locks without authorization.
He added that the landlord was eventually escorted out of the building.
Maino also questioned the eviction narrative, noting that a legitimate dispute over unpaid rent would likely involve legal action.
50 Cent has finally revealed the owner of the location where the “Let’s Rap About It” podcast is filmed, says that the landlord, “Sam,” is now his partner, and 50 allegedly owns the warehouse.

“If there was a real issue about the rent, it would be in court,” he said. “Nobody’s in court.”
The tension between the artists began after Jones criticized 50 Cent’s Diddy docuseries, calling it a “mockumentary,” which sparked an ongoing online feud.
