Maino is speaking up about his rap rival 50 Cent amid their ongoing feud during a recent episode of the Let’s Rap About It podcast.
During the episode, Maino acknowledged 50 Cent’s impact on music and business, but questioned aspects of his public persona. “I respect you as a businessman and for what you’ve done,” Maino said. “But when it comes to certain things, I need to see it for myself.”
The conversation comes months after friction between the two escalated publicly.
Their beef went viral in December following commentary about 50 Cent’s Diddy-related docuseries, leading to a slew of memes and AI-assisted images from 50 Cent poking fun at Maino and his crew.
Earlier this month, Maino released a diss track titled “Bleed Like Us,” in which he continued to challenge 50 Cent directly.
Despite the tension, Maino reiterated that he respected 50’s business prowess but that he’s not buying into his gangster persona.
“I’m just speaking from where I stand,” he said. “I respect what you built, but I’m not just going to accept everything without question.”
50 Cent has not publicly responded to Maino’s latest comments.
