Lil Pump is opening up about why he stepped away from the spotlight at the height of his music career.
During a recent livestream with content creator Neon, the rapper shared that some industry experiences made him reconsider his path. Pump claimed he encountered people who believed in unusual practices tied to fame and success.
“People offered weird stuff,” he said during the stream. “Like witchcraft or some dumb stuff.”
The “Gucci Gang” rapper said the encounters left him uncomfortable and contributed to his decision to distance himself from the industry for a time.
“I think everybody in the music industry does it,” Pump said. “They start doing all kinds of weird things and I’m like, ‘Bro, I’m not with none of that.’”
Lil Pump said he saw witchcraft and it made him wanna leave the music industry.

Although he suggested he heard about artists turning to unusual rituals, Pump admitted he never personally witnessed anything directly.
“I’ve heard stories,” he added. “It’s weird.”
Pump rose to fame in the late 2010s with viral hits and high-profile collaborations. His breakout era included chart success and partnerships with artists such as Lil Wayne and Kanye West. In recent years, the rapper has kept a lower profile musically. His most recent releases did not perform well in the charts.
