Lamar Odom is opening up even further about the life-threatening overdose that nearly killed him and changed how he views life and death.

In the upcoming Netflix documentary Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, the former NBA star reflects on the 2015 medical crisis that left him fighting for his life. The film, directed by Ryan Duffy, premieres on March 31 and revisits the period when Lamar was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel and rushed to the hospital.

In the trailer, Lamar describes the extreme toll the overdose took on his body.

“I had 12 strokes and six heart attacks,” he says. “That’s not no average s**t.”

The 46-year-old also recalls a moment when his heart stopped and says he felt something beyond the physical trauma.

“The afterlife is not what people make it out to be,” he says.

The documentary also includes interviews with people close to Lamar, including his ex-wife Khloé Kardashian. The two married in 2009 before separating in 2013.

Khloé reflects on how his addiction affected their relationship.

“I felt like it was my job to cover this up and protect him,” she says, recalling times when Lamar would leave rehab and disappear during drug binges.
