Natasha Idibia, the wife of legendary singer 2baba, has expressed excitement at resuming work at the Edo State House of Assembly.
The singer’s wife, who welcomed a child for him late last year, shared a video of her at the Assembly on her Instagram story.
While addressing her colleagues, she expressed her happiness to be back from maternity leave.
“I am happy to be back, too, from my maternity leave, Mr Speaker”.
Kemi Filani reported in November that the couple had welcomed their first child. The gënder of the newborn is unknown as the couple played on Nigerians.
Last month, they had dedicated their child in church. In photos and clips that made rounds online, 2baba, his wife and mother were captured with the newborn in a Catholic Church where they dedicated the child.
Last year, the Edo Assembly had summoned Natasha over a viral video of her and 2baba in an altercation in London. The Assembly had given her 7 days to appear before its Ethics Committee for questioning, as she was accused of dragging the House into disrepute.
In other news, last year Natasha proved to be a beauty with a brain, receiving the Best Legislator Award at the 2025 National Leadership Awards in Abuja. Expressing her gratitude, she stated that the recognition was for the people of Egor Constituency, Edo State, whose trust in her drives her commitment to women’s empowerment, education, healthcare, and youth development.
Also, last year, Natasha had bagged an HR awards and her singer husband, 2baba had praised her, describing her as a beautiful lawmaker, and made it known that he was strongly behind her.
Showing how supportive he is to his wife’s political career, the singer, had accompanied her to celebrate her 2 years in office as a Lawmaker in Nigeria, and the couple had turned heads with their interesting outfits.
Recall that on July 25th 2025, the music icon had traditionally wedded Natasha, in a low-key ceremony attended by close family members, including the singer’s parents.
In one of the clips from the ceremony, 2baba and Natasha were captured receiving parental blessings. A man identified as Okagbe noted how the singer has been in several marriages and prayed that his marriage to Natasha would be the last.
