Oscar Feud! Regina Hall And Teyana Taylor Allegedly “Oil And Water” On Set Of ‘One Battle After Another’… Did Regina Snub Teyana During The Best Picture Win??

Media Take Out has some exclusive tea that’s going to make your next re-watch of the Oscar-winning masterpiece One Battle After Another feel a lot different. While the world was celebrating Paul Thomas Anderson’s massive six-Oscar sweep last Sunday—including that historic Best Picture win—our insiders say things weren’t exactly “one big happy family” on that stage.

We’ve been hearing rumblings for months that the two female leads, Regina Hall and Teyana Taylor, were bumping heads behind the scenes. And if you watched the Oscars closely, the “unwritten beef” was written all over Regina’s face!

“Oil And Water”: The Personality Clash

According to a high-level production insider, the tension started early during filming in California. The source describes the two actresses as “total opposites” who just couldn’t find a rhythm.

Regina Hall, who played the steady and loyal Deandra, is known in the industry for being low-key, professional, and “regular.” She’s a seasoned vet who likes to do the work and go home. On the other hand, you have Teyana Taylor, who played the fiery revolutionary Perfidia. Teyana is “extra” by nature—she’s loud, she’s high-energy, and she’s always “in your face.”

“Regina is a class act, but she has a very low tolerance for ‘performative’ energy,” the insider whispered to Media Take Out. “Teyana brings a whole circus with her everywhere she goes. It’s one thing to see it on Instagram, but when you’re stuck in a trailer next to it for six months, it wears on you. Regina was over it by week three.”

The “I don’t f**k with you” energy allegedly shifted into high gear during the grueling Oscar press tour. While the ladies played nice for the cameras in joint interviews with Leonardo DiCaprio and Chase Infiniti, the vibe shifted the moment the “Record” button was turned off.

Our source says Regina grew increasingly “sick of the extraness” Teyana brought to every red carpet and panel. While Teyana was winning Golden Globes and getting Supporting Actress nods for her “manic” portrayal of Perfidia, Regina—who many feel was the unsung hero of the film—stayed in the shadows.

The “Stage Snub” Seen ‘Round The World

The tension finally boiled over—subtly—on the biggest night in Hollywood. When One Battle After Another was announced as the Best Picture winner, the entire cast rushed the stage.

While Teyana Taylor was seen screaming, jumping, and practically taking over the microphone during the celebration, the cameras caught a glimpse of Regina Hall standing in the back. Her face said a thousand words. She looked completely “done” with the theatrics.

“Regina wasn’t even trying to hide it anymore,” one fan posted on X. “Teyana was doing backflips over the win and Regina looked like she was waiting for her Uber to arrive.”

Will They Ever Work Together Again?

There was never a screaming match or a physical “beef,” but the cold shoulder is often louder than a shout. Despite their characters being “best friends” in the film (there was even a cut scene that showed their deep bond), it seems the real-life sisterhood just isn’t there.

With both women now at the peak of their careers following this movie’s success, it’s unlikely we’ll see them sharing a screen again anytime soon.

Did you catch Regina’s “side-eye” during the Best Picture speech? Do you think Teyana is “too extra,” or is Regina just being a hater? Let us know in the comments!
