Baring any last minute change of mind or natural occurrence, Governor Sim Fubara will not be returning to the Rivers State Government House as Mr Nyesom Wike has picked another to replace him.
Boma Iyaye, his loyalist and current Executive Director of Finance in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has been picked by him to replace Fubara. We gathered from sources within the FCT minister’s camp that Boma will be resigning this week Friday from his position, in line with the Presidential directive to all appointees to resign from appointed positions, to comply with the electoral act.
Boma will be contesting the primaries under the All Progressive Congress alongside Fubara stated a source, which Kingsley Chinda, another of his loyalist and current House of Representatives minority leader will be running under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to rival Fubara incase the governors forum decides to ensure that Wike loses the battle over his former godson.
