Media Take Out has the latest update in the messiest rap triangle of 2026. It looks like the Vocal Bible herself, Brandy, has finally had enough of grown men using her name for podcast “likes” and “subscribes.”
After Shyne and Mase—two men pushing 50—went on a “locker room” rant claiming they were both “intimate” with Brandy at the same time back in the 90s, the internet called it for what it was: LAME. But while the world was laughing, Brandy was drafting a legal-grade read.
Brandy To Shyne: “Unequivocally, WE DID NOT!”
Brandy broke her usual silence to release a scorching statement that basically calls Shyne a liar. According to the “Moesha” star, whatever Shyne thought was happening 25 years ago was all in his head.
“In the late 90’s, I had a platonic friendship with rapper Shyne,” Brandy stated. “In an unfortunate turn of events, that friendship is now being mischaracterized as ‘we dated.’ Unequivocally, we did not!“
She went on to question why a man in his position is out here “reshaping” a 20-year-old friendship into a fake romance. But Media Take Out noticed one very interesting thing… Brandy was very specific about Shyne. She didn’t say a WORD about Mase. Is silence a confession? Fans are already speculating that while Shyne was in the “friend zone,” Mase might have actually been in the “end zone!”
The Memoir Is Coming: “PHASES”
Brandy also used this moment to announce that she’s tired of other people writing her history. She revealed she is releasing a tell-all memoir titled “PHASES,” where she plans to “debunk many of the misnomers” about her life.
It looks like the “Boy Is Mine” singer is ready to name names and set the record straight once and for all. If this book is half as spicy as her statement, the 90s hip-hop scene better get ready to hide!
Brandy Checks Ray J: “I Don’t Support His Messages”
The most shocking part of the statement, however, was directed at her own blood. After Ray J went on that disturbing “booty goon” rant threatening the podcasters with sexual assault, Brandy made it clear she is NOT standing behind her brother’s behavior.
“While I love my brother Ray J, I don’t condone or support the messages he’s shared on social mediaand have not asked him to defend me in any form,” she wrote.
Ouch! It looks like Ray J’s attempt to be the “family protector” actually ended up getting him publicly disowned by the very person he was trying to defend. Brandy made it clear: she’s a grown woman who can handle her own battles without the “tough guy” antics.
