Nigerian singer and rapper Ahmed Ololade, known professionally as Asake, has melted hearts over his grand gift to his wife.
The award-winning singer had gifted his beloved mother a new G-Wagon for Ramadan.
According to reports online, the G-Wagon is worth $230,000.
A video making the rounds online captured the moment when Asake gifted his mother, who was taken aback, the car. From the video, Asake’s mother is no doubt happy as she hugged her son while taking a look at her new whip.
Asake and his mother had paid a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, at his palace in Ile-Ife.
Sharing a clip of their visit, the Ooni expressed his happiness in welcoming Asake back home, noting that the Artist spent many of his formative years in Ife. He praised the singer’s mother for being a steadfast pillar and expressed his delight at welcoming her home.
After he visited the Ooni, Asake met with Ghana’s President, John Mahama at the Supercar event in Accra. The Nigerian singer was captured exchanging pleasantries with the president, who inquired if he was the one his citizens fired a gun at, and he responded passionately appealing for leniency, and calling for the release of the guy who was arrested for firing celebratory shots in his honour.
In an interview, Yemi Elesho had recounted his sweet memories with Asake, revealing that the singer had nothing back and he would always buy food for him.
In 2024, Asake parted ways with his boss, Olamide, and his label. According to reports online, Asake’s contract with Olamide’s YBNL expired, and when Olamide presented Asake with a new contract, Asake refused to sign. Olamide tried everything in his power to renew his label deal with Asake, but all his efforts were futile.
Asake is a prominent Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter known for his energetic fusion of Afro-fusion, Amapiano, and Fuji sounds.
He gained global recognition with hit songs such as “Mr Money” and “Omo Ope,” featuring Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Baddo.
