Afroman is taking the stand in a legal dispute tied to a police search of his home, arguing that the situation would never have escalated if the raid had not occurred.

The rapper, born Joseph Foreman, testified in court on March 12 in a case involving deputies from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. The lawsuit centers on claims that he used their images without permission in music and social media content following the 2022 search.

“All of this is their fault,” Foreman said during testimony. “If they hadn’t raided my house, there would be no lawsuit.”

Foreman told the court that footage used in his music videos came from his own home surveillance system. He argued that he had the right to use the recordings, which captured officers entering his property during the search.

“They’re suing me for their mistake,” he said.

The search was connected to allegations of drug trafficking and kidnapping, though Foreman was not charged in the case.

He also testified that the raid caused damage to his home and claimed money was missing after authorities returned property taken during the search.

The trial is ongoing.
