Drake Quietly Moving Closer to Trump’s Orbit? Inside the Surprising Political Tea

Drake has built a career on doing things his own way. From dominating charts to rewriting the rules of global rap stardom, the Toronto superstar has always stayed famously non political. But Media Take Out has learned some interesting new tea that suggests Drake may be inching closer to the world of Donald Trump, and it is raising eyebrows across both the music and political worlds.

According to multiple industry sources, several people within Drake’s inner circle have recently developed friendly relationships with figures connected to Trump’s media and political ecosystem. One name that keeps coming up is Alex Bruesewitz, the Gen Z architect credited with helping shape Trump’s modern media strategy and outreach to younger audiences.

Last week, Bruesewitz tied the knot at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private club and political nerve center. The guest list was not your typical political crowd. Media Take Out confirmed that hip hop heavyweight 50 Cent and breakout rap star Sexyy Red were both in attendance. Insiders say members of Drake’s extended crew were also present and mingling freely.

But the story goes deeper than a wedding invite.

Sources close to Drake tell Media Take Out that the rapper has grown increasingly frustrated with the Democratic Party, particularly over what he sees as its cozy relationship with Jay-Z and Roc Nation. That frustration, insiders say, is now spilling over into how Drake views politics and power in the entertainment industry.

As fans know, Drake is currently locked in a high stakes legal battle with Universal Music Group over Kendrick Lamar’s explosive diss track “Not Like Us.” Drake’s camp believes the song’s cultural takeover did not happen organically. They point to Jay Z and Roc Nation’s influence, particularly Kendrick Lamar being given a prime performance slot at last year’s Super Bowl, as evidence that powerful industry players helped amplify the record.

One person close to Drake told Media Take Out, “Drake is not political, but if he was, he would not be with the Democrats.”

That quote has been circulating quietly among industry insiders, and it is fueling growing speculation that Drake may be considering a dramatic image pivot. Some are even comparing it to a WWE style heel turn. The idea is simple. Align, or at least appear aligned, with Trump world in order to disrupt the status quo and reframe his public narrative during a critical moment in his career.

Adding more fuel to the fire is Nicki Minaj. Media Take Out previously reported that Nicki has been actively recruiting high profile entertainers to come into Trump’s orbit. We are told she has already been paid millions for political appearances and endorsements tied to conservative causes, and her visibility and marketing power have surged as a result.

Insiders say Nicki has personally encouraged Drake to consider a similar move, arguing that the shock value alone would dominate headlines and reset the conversation around him.

To be clear, there is no confirmation that Drake plans to formally endorse Trump or any political candidate. Those close to him insist he still sees himself as above party politics. But the connections are real, the resentment is real, and the speculation is growing louder by the day.

If Drake does decide to lean into this moment, it could become one of the most unexpected cultural crossovers in recent history. And as always, Media Take Out will be watching closely.
